Pearl V Puri was born into a Hindu Khatri family. His father, Vipin Puri, is a businessman and his mother, Pummy Puri, is a housewife. He grew up alongside his elder sister Reet Vohra aka Quety Puri. His father died in October 2020 from a fatal heart attack.

Puri has had a fair share of affairs throughout his life. His first known relationship was with an unidentified girl from Agra, whom he dated for more than nine years. She has been a huge fan of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan which inspired him to pursue acting. Upon moving to Mumbai, Pearl couldn’t continue his relationship with the girl and they broke up.
