Kareena Kapoor is the younger daughter of Randhir Kapoor and Babita (née Shivdasani). She has an elder sister named Karisma, who is also an actress. Kareena is the paternal granddaughter of actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor, maternal granddaughter of actor Hari Shivdasani, and niece of actor Rishi Kapoor.
